Single Malt Whiskey
A Kilbeggan whiskey bottle and tumbler with whiskey on a dark wooden bar under warm, soft bar lighting.

First Time with Kilbeggan Single Grain Irish Whiskey

I had this whiskey at the Point B getaway — thanks to Joe Boyles for setting up the tasting. Here's what stood out:

Smooth and easy to drink — No burn, no fighting with it. Goes down clean.

Mild flavor profile — Classic notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak with a hint of honey sweetness. Nothing that'll punch you in the face.

Great value — For what you're getting, the price point makes sense. Won't break the bank but still delivers a solid experience.

Not complicated, just a straightforward dram that does what you'd expect from a well balanced Irish whiskey.
